About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider, supporting a range of enterprise and mid market customers. This is a Strong 2nd Line technical role where you’ll troubleshoot complex network issues, support ongoing changes, and drive continual service improvement across customer environments.

You’ll work alongside experienced network professionals, have access to mentorship and structured development, and be given the opportunity to build toward advanced certifications, leadership pathways, or specialised technical tracks.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for resolving incidents, problems, changes and service requests across multiple customer networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across LAN, WAN/SD-WAN, and wireless environments.

  • Act as an escalation point for junior engineers, guiding them through resolution activities.

  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements to increase reliability and performance.

  • Manage and deliver network changes in line with best practice and customer expectations.

  • Engage with vendors and third parties for escalations, RMAs, and shared incident handling.

  • Maintain and contribute to technical documentation, processes, diagrams, and knowledgebase content.

  • Support continuous improvement and network automation initiatives across managed services.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in network support within a managed services or enterprise environment.

  • Hands-on experience across Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and/or Palo Alto network and security platforms.

  • Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, network security concepts, and wireless technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of routing & switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, NAT, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, etc.

  • Working towards, or holding, certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet FCP, Palo Alto, or Azure AZ-700.

  • Any exposure to network automation/orchestration (e.g., Python, power automate, n8n) is beneficial.

Who You Are

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy solving complex technical challenges.

  • Communicate clearly both with technical peers and non-technical users.

  • Stay calm under pressure and take ownership of outcomes.

  • Want to keep progressing  technically or into leadership.

This is a role for someone who wants to grow, not just maintain the status quo.

What’s in It for You

  • A structured development plan and mentorship to help you advance your skills and certifications.

  • Exposure to diverse network environments and modern tooling.

  • A supportive, collaborative team culture.

  • Opportunity to step into senior or specialist roles over time.
