There are onsite engineers who wait for tickets.

And there are engineers who walk into a client environment, spot what needs improving, take ownership and become the person everyone turns to.

We're looking for the second type.

ZenTech Talent is partnering with a growing Managed Service Provider to recruit an Onsite Technical Engineer supporting customers within the financial services sector.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your day sitting behind a service desk waiting for work to arrive.

You'll be embedded within customer environments, building relationships with users, IT Managers and senior stakeholders, identifying problems before they become tickets and taking technical ownership through to resolution.

What we're looking for

this could be an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer around 3–5 years into their career who has developed a strong technical foundation within an MSP and is now ready for more ownership, exposure and responsibility.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working within an MSP or similarly fast-paced multi-client environment
• Is comfortable providing both deskside and infrastructure-focused technical support
• Takes ownership rather than simply escalating problems
• Proactively identifies issues and opportunities for improvement
• Can communicate confidently with everyone from end users through to IT Managers and C-level stakeholders
• Has the technical confidence to question something when it doesn't look right
• Wants to become the trusted "go-to" engineer within a customer environment
• Is genuinely invested in developing their technical career

You'll ideally already have Microsoft certifications under your belt, with evidence that you're continuing to develop. Certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, SC-300 or equivalent Microsoft credentials would stand out.

Exposure to networking and relevant certifications such as CCNA would also be valuable.

The opportunity

You'll join an established MSP supporting demanding professional and financial services customers where the standard of service matters.

The role offers exposure beyond traditional desktop support, giving you the opportunity to work closer to infrastructure, cloud, networking and wider customer technology environments.

You'll work predominantly onsite across customer locations, alongside time with the wider technical team.

For someone who wants to progress, this is the type of environment where being proactive gets noticed.
