About the Role

Overview

A leading UK Managed Service Provider is seeking a M365 Technical Architect to drive the architecture and delivery of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Modern Work Security solutions for enterprise and mid-market customers.

This is a strategic and hands-on role: you’ll shape solution design, lead complex delivery, step into escalations when needed, and help customers unlock the value of Microsoft Security and AI / Copilot technologies.

If you thrive at the intersection of technical depth, architecture design, stakeholder leadership, and hands-on delivery, this role offers the autonomy and scale to make real impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead architecture and delivery of Microsoft 365 and Azure-based Modern Work and Security solutions.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Defender, Intune, Conditional Access, Purview, and Sentinel.

  • Champion AI and Copilot adoption, guiding customers on use cases and value realisation.

  • Support pre-sales and consult directly with customers to shape technical direction.

  • Provide hands-on support across configuration, automation, and troubleshooting.

  • Lead engineers and consultants through delivery, unblocking challenges and ensuring quality.

  • Step into complex migration or security uplift projects to bring clarity and direction.

  • Mentor and develop delivery team members to raise standards and capability.

  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and handover materials.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture frameworks and delivery processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience designing and delivering Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions in enterprise or MSP environments.

  • Hands-on technical ability across security, compliance, identity, and endpoint management.

  • Strong knowledge of automation and scripting to optimise deployments.

  • Experience guiding delivery teams and influencing stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle complex technical scenarios and restore direction when challenges arise.

  • Clear communicator — able to translate technical detail for business audiences.

  • Curiosity to stay current with Microsoft AI & Copilot ecosystem advancements.

Desirable Certifications

(Not required — but valued and supported)

  • Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert

  • Azure Administrator / Architect Associate

  • Copilot for Microsoft 365 credentials or enablement experience

  • Security-focused certifications (SC-200 / SC-300 / SC-400)

What’s in It for You

  • 24 days holiday, increasing annually up to 28 days + Bank Holidays.

  • Dedicated personal development time — 5 paid training days per year.

  • 2 paid volunteer days annually to support community causes.

  • Regular knowledge-sharing sessions and learning culture.

  • Friendly, collaborative team with regular social events.

  • Clear career progression pathways across architecture, leadership, and strategic consulting.
