About the Role
IT Support Engineer (Education Sector MSP)
📍 Hertfordshire (Onsite)
💰 £38,000 - £42,000 + benefits
We’re working with a well-established Managed Service Provider specialising in the education sector, supporting schools across Hertfordshire. They’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their onsite team, delivering hands-on support and building strong relationships with staff and students.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys varied, front-line support work in a structured but people-focused environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide onsite IT support across one or multiple school sites
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and classroom tech
- Manage users, devices, and permissions (Active Directory / Entra ID)
- Support AV equipment, printers, and end-user devices
- Work closely with teaching staff and leadership teams
- Escalate more complex issues to the wider MSP team
What we’re looking for
- Experience in IT support (1st / 2nd line) within an MSP or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking
- Confident supporting non-technical users face-to-face
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working onsite daily
- Full UK driving licence (preferred, depending on site coverage)
Nice to have
- Experience working in schools / education environments
- Exposure to safeguarding processes or DBS clearance
- Basic networking knowledge (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
