About the Role

Cloud Security Engineer | London | £75,000 - £85,000 

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with IT and development teams to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures to protect our data, systems, and customer information.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS & Azure.)
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks and threats.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing necessary remediation measures.
  • Design and implement access controls, encryption, and identity management solutions for cloud platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to proactively address potential risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to IT and development teams on secure cloud architecture and deployment strategies.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on AWS or Azure
  • Relevant certifications such as - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, including network security, encryption, access controls, and identity management.
  • Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automating security tasks is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
