About the Role

2nd Line M365 & Azure Technical Engineer - Service Desk

Location: Hybrid (2 days WFH / 3 days Leatherhead office)
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus + On call allowance

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and customer focused Technical Engineer to join our dynamic Service Desk team. This is a hybrid role offering hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and real progression into Infrastructure or Project roles for those who want to grow.

You’ll be part of a supportive environment where knowledge sharing and professional development are core to how we work. Engineers are encouraged to gain exposure beyond the desk from small works projects to shadowing our Infrastructure and Project teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide 2nd-line technical support across Office 365, Azure, Intune, and modern Windows environments.
  • Manage incidents, requests, and escalations within agreed SLAs.
  • Handle hardware builds, laptop deployments, and printer / desktop issues.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security tools including Mimecast and Cisco Umbrella.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on infrastructure, problem management, and process improvement.
  • Participate in weekend on-call rota (optional, paid).
  • Support small-works and project activities to broaden technical exposure.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in an MSP or fast paced IT service environment.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune.
  • Confident with Windows 10/11, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and server fundamentals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer communication.
  • Enthusiastic “aspiring 3rd liner” keen to develop towards infrastructure or project work.
  • Ideally certified or working toward Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

Why Join

  • Clear career path from Service Desk → Infrastructure → Projects.
  • Bi-annual performance bonuses and optional on-call pay.
  • Hybrid working (2 days from home, flexible schedule).
  • Supportive leadership that prioritises learning and exposure.
  • Access to certifications, mentoring, and hands-on project opportunities.

Apply now and take the next step in your MSP career, where progression, flexibility, and technical challenge go hand-in-hand.
