About the Role

Onsite Team Lead – Field Engineering (MSP)
Location: London & Home Counties (Onsite / Customer Facing)
Type: Full-time | Permanent

We are working with a growing, customer-focused Managed Service Provider looking to appoint an Onsite Team Lead to oversee and support a team of Field Engineers delivering high-quality IT services across London and the Home Counties.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a senior engineer ready to step into management or an existing Team Lead who enjoys combining technical delivery with people leadership and customer engagement.

The Role
You will lead, coordinate, and develop a team of Field Engineers providing onsite IT support across multiple client environments. Acting as the bridge between engineering, service delivery, and the customer, you will ensure consistent service quality, strong technical standards, and a positive client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of onsite / field-based engineers

  • Coordinate daily schedules, resource allocation, and customer coverage

  • Act as technical escalation point for complex incidents and onsite challenges

  • Maintain service quality, SLA adherence, and customer satisfaction

  • Support engineer development, mentoring, and performance management

  • Work closely with Service Desk and Service Delivery teams

  • Attend key customer sites and maintain strong client relationships

  • Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency

Technical Environment

  • Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune

  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy

  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN)

  • Endpoint, device, and user infrastructure

  • Multi-site / multi-client MSP environments

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience within an MSP or multi-client environment

  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers (formal or informal)

  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills

  • Solid Microsoft stack and infrastructure support background

  • Organised, calm under pressure, and operationally strong

  • Full UK driving licence (travel across London & Home Counties required)
