Junior Network Engineer – Mostly Remote, 1 office day per month – Career Growth Role

Are you early in your networking career and looking for the right environment to accelerate your development?

We are working with a highly regarded, modern IT services and solutions organisation known for delivering complex infrastructure, cloud, and network projects across enterprise clients. They are investing in their next generation of network talent and are looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join their growing technical team.

This role is ideal for someone with solid networking fundamentals who wants hands-on exposure, structured development, and the opportunity to grow into a fully fledged Network Engineer.

Engineers from data centre / infrastructure environments who are hardware and networking focused (rather than software support focused) are also strongly encouraged to apply.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced network engineers supporting, learning, and contributing to real client environments. The focus is development, exposure, and building strong technical foundations.

You’ll gain experience across:

Network support and troubleshooting
Routing & Switching fundamentals
Firewalls and network security concepts
Infrastructure and cloud-connected networks
Supporting project and BAU network activity
Learning from senior engineers within a structured environment

What They’re Looking For

1–3 years in IT / Networking / Infrastructure role
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing basics)
Exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, or similar technologies beneficial
CCNA (or working towards) highly desirable
Engineers from data centre / hardware / infrastructure backgrounds looking to move deeper into networking are welcome
Curious mindset and strong willingness to learn
Good communication and team collaboration skills
